Chandler officials are offering water at all library branches and cooling spaces as rising temperatures challenge residents this week.

The Neighborhood Resources Director announced on March 19 that these temporary measures will help prevent heat-related health risks.

Officials moved the start times for the FMP NHRA Arizona Nationals drag races to earlier in the morning to avoid extreme heat + Friday's sessions begin at 9:30 a.m. local time at Firebird Motorsports Park, with races continuing through Sunday, March 22.
