- ➤ Chandler will host For Our City Day in honor of Cesar Chavez on Saturday, March 29 in downtown Chandler to revitalize the Pamela Park neighborhood from Chandler Blvd to Commonwealth Avenue and from Hamilton Street to McQueen Road; volunteers will work on yard maintenance, painting, spreading gravel, and cleaning up the area. Andres Chavez—Cesar Chavez’s grandson—will lead a community march at noon before participants gather at Folley Park at 601 E. Frye Road for a free light lunch and to view job opportunity booths as the event shifts from October to the last Saturday of March. Chandler Independent

- ➤ A Chandler woman, Shelby Trischler 34, was arrested on March 21 for sending threatening letters to a home in Gilbert between March 10 and March 18—she faces five counts of stalking, five counts of threatening or intimidating and five counts of disorderly conduct—and the victims knew her. 12 News

- ➤ Earlier this month, fifty Arizona high school robotics teams competed at Desert Ridge High for a chance to qualify for the VEX World Championship in Dallas from May 6th to May 8th. - ➤ The City of Chandler has partnered with Mulcahy Law Firm to host a virtual HOA Academy this April that shows residents and board members how HOAs work. - ➤ The LPGA Tour Ford Championship will take place this weekend at Whirlwind GC in Cattail in Chandler as defending champion Nelly Korda returns—after a break since February 9—to compete among top players.
