- ➤ Chandler’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Division invites community members to attend the third annual Women’s Empowerment Luncheon held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 9 at the Chandler Center for the Arts—250 N. - ➤ Edmon Yohannes, 40, was sentenced to 30 years in prison and lifetime probation after he tried to exchange stuffed animals for sex with minors when an undercover detective from the Chandler Police Department exposed his online plan. KTAR

- ➤ Vision Art Gallery in downtown Chandler displays the “M | otherworlds” group exhibition featuring regional artists who are mothers as they explore themes of parenthood and creation. - ➤ Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes said 23andMe's bankruptcy may put genetic information of Arizonans at risk and urged them to delete their data using a simple online process. - ➤ Chandler is boosting its fight against opioid abuse as senior crisis interventionist Yazmin Barker distributes free Narcan kits and leads education using funds from opioid settlements—40 overdose deaths were recorded last year.
