ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ APS said that on Sunday night a Mylar balloon struck a power line in Chandler — cutting power for roughly 6,000 customers — and a similar incident on Saturday afternoon in Peoria left 2,700 customers without power. 12 News

- ➤ The Chandler Museum hosts an exhibition (Radio that Rocked the Valley) that highlights Phoenix radio history with displays including vinyl records, tapes and memorabilia; it is open today through Sept. 27 with special programming on June 13 at 300 S. Chandler Village Drive. KJZZ

- ➤ The Chandler Unified Governing Board approved a three-year contract with Dr. Anna Battle on March 25—she will start on July 1 as Superintendent Frank Narducci retires. Her base salary is $265,000 with additional retirement benefits. Chandler Independent

- ➤ Sun State Builders broke ground on March 6 on Avion Square (a 39,620 sqft warehouse and office facility) at Germann and Cooper Roads near the Chandler Airpark, and it will be ready for tenants in January 2027. Chandler Independent
