Gov. Hobbs and Fire Management Officer John Truett presented the 2025 fire season outlook on Monday, noting that dry winter conditions and a truck dragging a chain—which set off 18 fires—have increased wildfire risks.
They urged residents to take extra care outdoors by following fire safety measures to help prevent further wildfires.

On Sunday, Hyo Joo Kim came from four shots behind to win her seventh LPGA tournament at the Ford Championship — she shot an 8-under 64 and hit a 6-foot birdie putt in a playoff against Lilia Vu at Whirlwind Golf Club.
Her win raises her career earnings to over $10 million — the LPGA will hold the T-Mobile Match Play next week at Shadow Creek.
