- ➤ Chandler’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division invites community members to attend the third annual Women’s Empowerment Luncheon from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 9 at the Chandler Center for the Arts, where keynote speaker Nicole Lance and a panel of female leaders will share their insights; advance registration is required with preference for those who live, work or volunteer locally. - ➤ Fourteen suspects were charged in a 20-count indictment on Wednesday for a conspiracy involving straw gun purchases that saw 13 paid to buy belt-fed rifles and Barrett .50 caliber semi-automatic rifles for a central figure in the scheme—authorities said. KTAR
