- ➤ Jonathan Altland was sentenced to 17 years in prison for firing at a deputy during a high-speed chase in Chandler on April 29th, 2021 and for his convictions of aggravated assault on an officer and unlawful flight near Picacho. Chandler Independent
- ➤ A federal grand jury indicted 14 people, including Noelia Valenzuela Gomez of Chandler, for allegedly making false statements on ATF forms when buying belt-fed and Barrett .50-caliber rifles from licensed dealers between July 15 and December 23, 2023—charges that carry penalties of up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine—according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
