- ➤ The city of Chandler invites residents to join Chandler Listens workshops to share input on its General Plan update. - ➤ Chandler leaders are asking the City Council to approve a multi-year federal grant for a rideshare program—this project is expected to expand transportation options for local residents. Chandler Independent
- ➤ Since May 1, Chandler opened a respite center at AZCEND, 345 S. California St. and eight cooling centers that offer air conditioning, hydration, snacks and basic services to help residents cope with extreme heat. The respite center operates from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and Sunday with extra hours during heat warnings—services provided in partnership with the Maricopa County Department of Public Health and Maricopa Association of Governments’ Heat Relief Network.
