  • The Downtown Chandler Community Partnership and BlackSheep Wine Bar and Merchant are hosting the final Third Thursday Night Market of the season at 98 S.   • A team of Arizona College Prep High School seniors earned runner‑up at MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge 2026 — beating thousands of international teams and taking home a $15,000 prize. The final phase was held in New York City in late April.  Chandler Independent
  • Kyrene Gifted students showcased inventive projects on May 6, addressing digital wellness, health, and environmental challenges. A student built an app to monitor screen time while others created a tea for epilepsy and a drink for athletes to balance blood sugar — a display of growing innovation among young minds.  Chandler Independent
  • Chandler Unified approved its final school year budget adjustment on May 6 amid discussions on enrollment and funding for career and technical education. Board member Kurt Rohrs cast a dissenting vote because he did not receive the requested information before the meeting.  Chandler Independent
