- ➤ Honor Flight Arizona will launch its first standalone charter flight Monday with 91 war veterans taking a three-day trip from Phoenix Sky Harbor to Washington, D.C. until Wednesday as they honor their service at memorial sites including Arlington National Cemetery. KTAR
- ➤ Military families enjoyed a free day at Wildlife World Zoo—provided through a partnership with 12News during the Red, White and Zoo event. The partnership honored service members with complimentary admission, creating a meaningful day for the community. 12 News

- ➤ Ted’s Hot Dogs will open a new location in the Chandler Airpark area on Saturday, May 23, at 2700 E. Germann Road from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (festivities include music, free ice cream, hot dogs, and giveaways with custom t-shirts and one of five Golden Keychains.) Chandler Independent

- ➤ Chandler-Gilbert Community College received a $10,000 donation from SRP’s Santan Generating Station to expand the Coyote Cupboard and emergency financial assistance programs for students facing transportation, utilities and housing needs. Chandler Independent
- ➤ More than 80 Chandler high school seniors attended a Military Bound ceremony on May 2 at Hamilton High School, where military recruiters and local officials honored their decision to enlist after graduation.
