- ➤ ADOT said its temporary road signs (built to withstand high winds and supported with sandbags if needed) are inspected daily as monsoon season nears, after a sign flew off and hit a car near Arizona Avenue. ADOT is investigating the incident to ensure roadwork zones remain safe. ABC 15
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The American Cancer Society updated its colorectal cancer screening guidelines to include a blood test that detects cancerous DNA fragments; the test was approved by the FDA in 2024 and will help doctors spot cancer early. Residents in Chandler are encouraged to consult their physicians for guidance. 12 News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ This week, Great Hearts Chandler Prep graduate Robby Hirsch became the first baseball player to sign with a Division 1 team and will join University of Dayton to play baseball plus study mechanical engineering technology on an academic scholarship.
