- ➤ The Arizona Charter Board voted 10-0 to continue the process of shutting down Primavera Online School for not meeting academic standards after three years of low scores, and the school may appeal the decision Sept. 8-11 while remaining open—owner Damian Creamer had arranged a Capitol picnic to support his cause. 12 News

- ➤ The southbound lanes of Alma School Road remain closed between Sandpiper Drive and Ocotillo Road in south Chandler through Friday, June 6 after a water main break damaged the roadway last week. City officials said the road was extensively damaged on May 29 and weekend rain slowed repairs—delaying efforts to reopen the section. Chandler Independent
