Visit Chandler has launched the free Choose Chandler Summer Pass, a digital guide offering a summer-themed itinerary with 20 featured local businesses and events and more options coming soon.
Registration is free and users can check in using geo-location or a QR code scan.
🎓 Education
Chandler Unified School District will offer free summer meals to children 18 and under at three locations (Chandler High School at 191 W.
Oakland Street, Conley Elementary, and Arrowhead Pool) during June. Meals are provided on-site with no registration as part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program.
EVIT agreed to pay $4 million for busing students to its Mesa campuses to remove transport barriers for kids from nine districts.
The districts will review the offer & continue discussions on implementing the plan.
🏛️ Government
Chandler will join a feasibility study to modify Bartlett Dam as water conservation becomes a priority.
Water Resources Manager Simone Kjolsrud noted on May 21 that dwindling Colorado River supplies require careful use of the city’s water resources & a focus on preserving groundwater.
