On Monday night, Chandler's overnight heat relief center opened for its second year at the AZCEND site (west of Arizona Avenue, south of Frye Road) with expanded day and overnight relief including on-site showers and laundry as volunteers set up cots for 40 people.

Seafood City will hire over 100 people for its new Filipino supermarket and restaurants opening in mid to late July at the former JC Penny’s space at Chandler Fashion Center mall; daily interviews (10 a.m. to 7 p.m. M-Sat and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday) also accept online applications.
