A 28-year-old man was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he fired two rounds at an Uber driver and another vehicle in the Scheel's parking lot at Chandler Fashion Center in March—police tracked him using surveillance video and used a taser to subdue him while discovering he had two guns.

At its June 12 meeting, the Chandler City Council approved a $4.852 million contract for temporary information technology staffing services—one of the highest-dollar items on the agenda.

The one-year agreement will provide IT support for city operations.
