Fulton Homes runs its annual Stuff the Bus back-to-school drive at Chandler Fashion Center from now until July 6 to collect school supplies for children aided by Save the Family—donations are made at a school bus parked outside the food court.
Fulton Homes, Save the Family and KUPD will host a promotional event on Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. when local businesses offer free food and prizes to the first 50 donations.
Today, the Chandler Unified School District Governing Board will vote on five major action items—one of which is a budget measure that could lead to the longest review process.

Today, the Salt River Project board approved converting Coronado Generating Station in St. Johns from coal to natural gas, planning to complete renovations by 2029 and end coal use by 2032.

Maricopa County approved Monday a $3.9B budget that cut the total property tax rate by 0.37%—its fifth consecutive year—and set aside nearly half its funds for public safety while planning to save over $250 million by consolidating county office space.
Maricopa County will spend about $5 million on a new plane for the Sheriff’s Office to extradite criminal suspects arrested outside of Arizona.
Officials say the new plane will carry a crew and six or seven prisoners and replace an almost 50-year-old aircraft that required multiple trips to Texas and California.
