- ➤ Governor Katie Hobbs signed Senate Bill 1500 on Friday, starting a pilot program for people wrongfully convicted who can file claims for compensation if they prove they are innocent—claims that pay 200% of the median household income for each year served and extra awards for demonstrable damages. Eligible claimants have up to two years to file and may also receive money for health, education and legal fees—while their criminal records are cleared and civil rights restored, with the program ending June 30 unless renewed. 12 News
