GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Chandler will hold a special election on November 4 to let voters decide on a $475 million bond issue that will fund park improvements, street enhancements, and better police and fire services — two charter amendment measures are also on the ballot. Residents can file written arguments by 5 p.m. on August 6 with a $150 fee and a 300-word limit, submitting them by email, in person, or by mail. Chandler Independent
