- ➤ Chandler will open a new pickleball facility at Tumbleweed Park on Sept. 6—exactly one year after the groundbreaking—and it will have 18 outdoor courts with LED lights, restrooms, practice areas, drinking fountains and a parking lot. - ➤ Chandler and Chandler Unified School District partnered to expand career readiness for local high school students with a $10,000 investment that helped fund career events and vouchers for industry credential exams during the 2024–25 school year—efforts led by councilmembers Jane Poston and Angel Encinas. More than 2,300 students took credentialing exams and a Build 4 Tomorrow Career Expo at Perry High provided key career exploration opportunities. City of Chandler
- ➤ Chandler’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Division, partnering with Chandler-Gilbert Community College and Chandler Unified School District, launches the LEAD Chandler program to help residents ages 17-24 gain professional and leadership skills. The first event, Level Up Conference, will be held at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (2626 E.
