PetSmart opened its 1,700th store last month at Sun Village Towne Center (northeast corner of Alma School and Warner roads) in north Chandler.
The store spans over 18,000 sqft and featured live caricature drawings, treats, and giveaways to mark the occasion.
🏥 Health
The Chandler Fire Department reported only two drowning calls so far in 2026—down from 14 in 2025—as part of a drowning awareness effort.
The city will host a Water You Doing event at Desert Oasis Aquatic Center on Aug. 15 at noon to promote water safety.
