- ➤ Simpson Strong-Tie signed a 67,000-square-foot lease at 2850 S. Cooper Road in Chandler Airport Business Park and will add a training center—small manufacturing area and warehousing section. The company will move into the new facility later this fall and be fully operational by early next year. City of Chandler
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ U.S. Marshals fatally shot a suspect on Tuesday in Chandler when he attempted to flee a home where he was wanted for a federal probation violation—no officers were injured and the FBI with the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team are investigating the case. KTAR

- ➤ Chandler Center for Arts is hosting its annual Friend's Summer Auction to support local arts. Bids will close on Aug.29 at 11:59 p.m.—the auction offers travel, health, art, fashion, culinary and family experiences for bidders. Chandler Independent

- ➤ Chandler Unified was recognized as Arizona’s top school district fundraiser for the 2024—25 Kids Heart Challenge after raising $175,331 to support heart disease and stroke prevention.
