Chandler’s Water You Doing campaign marks Drowning Impact Awareness Month by offering free swim lessons throughout August and will host a water-safety pop-up event on Saturday, Aug.
15 at Desert Oasis Aquatic Center – residents can also enter a pool fence giveaway ending Aug. 15.

All Copy Products and Verticomm finished a new 39,000 sqft facility at 6640 W.
Chicago St. in West Chandler that offers 19,400 sqft of office space and 20,000 sqft of warehouse, and the company—employing nearly 50 locals—will hold a grand opening in fall.
🎭 Culture
Vision Gallery will open The Collectionists: Artwork by Laura Spalding Best and Heidi Dauphin from Aug.
22 through Nov. 7. The evolving exhibition displays collections created from thrifted finds, with an opening reception on Sept. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. (10 E. Chicago St.)
🎓 Education
On Aug. 5, the Chandler Unified Governing Board approved new career and technical education fee increases for Chandler High and Perry High School.
The updated fee schedule charges $100 for Medical Assisting I and $75 for Automotive Technologies courses as part of adding CTE Centralized courses.
🏛️ Government
Chandler City Council approved a 30-year ground lease with Vesper Aviation to build 29 new executive hangars at Chandler Municipal Airport.
The project will deliver at least 10 hangars (of varying sizes) within 24 months to meet growing aircraft-storage demand.
