- ➤ Simpson Strong-Tie, a supplier of structural building materials, is expanding its Chandler operations for the third time with a 67,000-square-foot lease at 2850 S. Cooper Road in the Chandler Airport Business Park—this facility will include a training center, small manufacturing unit, and warehouse space. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ EVIT and nine public school districts have been in a legal fight over a new agreement that will change funding and control of satellite career and technical education programs—districts secured a one-month extension while talks continue before the current deal ends on Aug 31. - ➤ Chandler’s Neighborhood Programs Office is restarting the free Good Neighbor 101 program on Sept. 3 at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center, where four 90-minute sessions will cover topics like neighborhood programs, economic development, park maintenance, and water quality.
