💼 Business
Waymo will soon expand its driverless ride-hailing service by adding 55 square miles in the East Valley, including Gilbert, parts of Chandler, and San Tan Ranch with new connections to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport at Mesa — its plans exclude West Valley.
🎓 Education
The Chandler Unified Governing Board will consider the annual school resource officer contract between the district and the city during its 6:30 p.m. meeting on Wednesday, Aug.
19 at the district offices (1525 W. Frye Road). A 5:30 p.m. session will address additional agenda items before the meeting.
📰 Real Estate
Arizona Partners is reviving the former Fry’s at Alma School and Warner with new stores like PetSmart, Ross Dress for Less, Burlington Coat Factory, Red Brick Eatery, Image Studio Salon & Gozen Kamicha.
Ross and Burlington will open in October, and additional shops are planned for 2027.
