- ➤ A $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold on Monday at a Circle K at 2990 North Arizona Avenue in Chandler—according to the Arizona Lottery which announced the winning numbers were 15, 46, 61, 63, and 64. The ticket holder is advised to contact the lottery as the jackpot stays at $643 million ahead of today's drawing. ABC 15

- ➤ A Washington Post report shows that ICE will nearly double its detention capacity nationwide by adding over 1,200 beds in Arizona at facilities such as Maricopa County Jail — Marana Correctional Facility and the Central Arizona Florence Correctional Center, which will soon be used for immigration detention. - ➤ Chandler City Council approved an amendment to the lease with Chandler Air Service Inc. on Aug. 14 to allow the longtime pilot-training partner to expand at the municipal airport—CAS secured new financing and permits after earlier delays. The revised lease requires construction permits by the first anniversary and a certificate of occupancy by Aug. 31, with steel for the new hangar and office building scheduled to arrive in September.
