- ➤ State transportation officials said there will be no main freeway closures in Chandler this weekend—only work on Loop 101 ramps, which will reopen at 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29 after concrete replacement work. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during the repair. Chandler Independent

- ➤ The City of Chandler Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Division and ARISE Alliance Institute are restarting the Building Better Mental Health series with two free sessions—led by clinical social worker Estefana Johnson at the Downtown Chandler Library on Sept. 9 and Sept. 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.—to teach community members how to manage stress and set boundaries.
