The Chandler Military and Veterans Commission will host the first Salute to Service 5K at Veterans Oasis Park on Sunday, Oct.

25 & the untimed event will raise funds for the maintenance of the Field of Honor Veterans Memorial that honors over 50 local veterans.

The Arizona Commission on the Arts has awarded over $60,000 in grants to Chandler-area arts organizations including a $5,000 boost for ICAN’s Enrichment Through Art program — a youth development initiative — and benefited the Chandler Cultural Foundation and Chandler Children’s Choir as part of nearly $2.66 million statewide awards.
