Chandler’s Golden Neighbors program will launch on Sept.

11 with a free event where Oak Street Health will share tips and Medicare help to keep seniors active—held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at ASU Chandler Innovation Center in downtown Chandler.

25 saying up to 97 Chandler workers will lose their jobs — this follows earlier announcements in July that increased the planned cuts. The move adds to a series of workforce reductions at the city’s largest employer.

16 to review options. Public hearings are set for Oct. 15 and Nov. 20, and the board will vote on closures on Dec. 16 — schools on the east side of I-10 in Tempe and Chandler may be affected.
