🎓 Education
At its Sept. 9 meeting, the Chandler Unified Governing Board approved a one-year school resource officer contract for several campuses (including Payne Junior and Perry High School), sharing overtime expenses with the city and district, though board president Patti Serrano voted no over concerns about rising costs.
🏈 Sports
Chandler-area native Oso Ighodaro of the Phoenix Suns hosted his first free basketball and youth development camp today at Pecos Community Center + Ahwatukee Foothills YMCA.
Over 50 youths ages 11-14 practiced fundamental skills and learned life techniques during the camp.
