🎭 Culture
This summer, BASIS student Joshua Lee from Chandler became the only student from Arizona to serve as concertmaster with the national youth orchestra during a training and performance program at Carnegie Hall and on an international tour in Europe.
His role is a rare honor.
Chandler Contigo returns Sept.
15 with a month-long series of free events celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month. The festivities begin with a Día de Fiesta at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park on Sept. 12 from 4-10 p.m., featuring music + dance, art and family activities at various venues.

Chandler Unified School District’s board voted 3 to 2 to add its land acknowledgment in board meetings and graduations, effective immediately — community input was part of the discussion and the board will revisit the change at its next meeting on Oct.
