- ➤ Glowing Pumpkins returns — an immersive Halloween experience with lit pumpkin sculptures, music and sound effects — at Riverwalk at Rawhide in Chandler from Sept. 26 to Nov. 1 on Thursday through Sunday evenings. Parking closes at 9:45 p.m. and the trail closes at 10 p.m. Chandler Independent

- ➤ Chandler will hold a special bond election on November 4 to let voters decide on issuing bonds for a new fire station near the airport, improved parks and police services, and repaved roads — the city has earned the highest bond ratings for over a decade while keeping property taxes steady. - ➤ The therapy dog Chuck—owned by Tempe Union official Megan Sterling—comforts patients and staff at Chandler Regional Medical Center as part of the Paws for Patients program, where he visits different departments on Monday evenings to help lower stress.
