The Arts Commission approved an ostrich statue for Dr. A.J.
Chandler Park as part of its renovation, in time for the Tumbleweed Christmas Tree lighting in November. Artist Matt Babcock will create the 6 ft tall sculpture to honor the city’s festival legacy—supported by city funds, Art Commission, and a local contractor.
