- ➤ Brewer Science Inc. announced a new office and lab called the Arizona Innovation Center at 145 S. 79th Street in west Chandler, which will serve as a collaborative hub to connect local tech talent with key industry partners. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A new report from the Helios Education Foundation showed Arizona high school chronic absence rates stayed about 10 percentage points above pre-pandemic levels and increased steadily from third grade onward. Chandler schools such as Chandler High School reduced absences by five percentage points by strengthening teacher-student connections — a targeted effort to help low-income and minority students. - ➤ Arizona emergency responders updated the 911 system statewide to answer calls faster and send help sooner—this $50 million upgrade can pinpoint callers within 3 feet and lets dispatchers share texts, images and live video. - ➤ Chandler’s Neighborhood Preservation Officer team has been recognized as the 2025 Code Enforcement Department of the Year by the Arizona Code Enforcement Association — the team launched programs like the Code Enforcement Resident Academy and Graffiti Education Outreach Program to support community learning and staff development.
