- ➤ A conservative education advocate, formerly a West Valley board member, urges Chandler voters to support the Chandler Unified School District bond and override request on November 4 — a plan that will address a $66.8 million annual shortfall in capital funding to maintain school safety for more than 38,216 students. He explains that when approved, using $45.51 million of override funds will maintain over 5.5 million square feet of school space — a step to equalize funding with charter and voucher programs. - ➤ Drivers in Chandler have no freeway lane closures planned this weekend but are advised to check ADOT’s website, app or X account for ramp closures and traffic updates—ADOT noted that a Loop 202 closure has been postponed and pavement sealing work on Loop 101 and Loop 303 will affect travel in parts of Scottsdale and the West Valley at set times.
