Chandler will host its annual Halloween Spooktacular on Friday, Oct.

31 at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park stage plaza in Downtown Chandler. The free event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will feature a costume parade with glow‐in‐the‐dark souvenirs for walkers 12 and under, trunk‐or‐treat with over 300 pounds of candy, carnival games, and a Halloween dance party.

Visit Chandler launched Choose Chandler Experiences to invite residents and visitors to explore local eateries, art spots, and Halloween-themed events using free digital passes.

The promotion features the Chandler Thrills Pass—rewarding participants for checking in at five local locations—and includes other experiences like the Chandler Mural Quest and Let’s Lunch, Chandler.

Chandler's Spooky's Swirls—an unusual bakery known for its gluten-free treats and horror décor—was named the nation's 6th best gluten-free bakery by USA Today.

It features a mini museum of movie memorabilia and offers a Fear Farm cupcake that gives a discount to a local haunted house.

On Oct. 3 and Oct. 4, hundreds gathered at Dr. A.J.

Chandler Park for Rocktoberfest—enjoying live bands, food trucks, and contests like dog races and stein holding with performances by Ultimate Bon Jovi, Red Hot Cholo Peppers, and Lies and Roses. Local brewers Huss and Santan sponsored the event and additional acts such as The Chadwicks and The Dirt performed between sets.

Chandler residents can enjoy Harkins Fright Nights in October with tickets available for only $5—an affordable way to experience a fun, spooky event that runs throughout the month.

Registered Chandler voters are encouraged to vote in the upcoming Special Election by returning ballots via mail — ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov.

4, and the County recommends mailing by Oct. 28 or using drop boxes at Chandler City Hall, the Unified School District Office, or Sun Lakes Fire Station 232 beginning Oct. 8. Voters needing a replacement ballot may pick one up at these locations from Oct. 27 to Oct. 31 or on Nov. 3, and requests by mail are accepted until 5 p.m. on Oct. 24.

Chandler Acting City Manager John Pombier named Marge Zylla as the new strategic initiatives director to lead government relations, transportation policy & grants teams.

She started on Oct. 6 and will use nearly 20 years of experience to manage complex negotiations for the city.

Opus began construction on Envision 56, a two-building Class A industrial project near North 56th Street and West Chandler Boulevard that offers modern, single-user industrial space for smaller tenants.

The 125,000‐square‐foot development on an eight‐acre site will be completed in June 2026—boosting Chandler’s industrial options.
