- ➤ The Vision Gallery at Chandler Center for the Arts will host “Rice is Mẹ: Anh-Thuy Nguyen” from Nov. 15 to Feb. 7, where Tucson-based artist Anh-Thuy Nguyen uses rice to symbolically explore cultural identity and memory — blending photography, ceramics, sculpture, and sound to create a personal narrative. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ SRP will raise electric bills by 3.5% in November, meaning an extra $5.61 on average per month, as the utility introduces new time-of-day plans and expands income-qualified discounts. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The City of Chandler announced a leadership program for young adults ages 17—24 that will offer hands-on workshops and team challenges at Chandler Gilbert Community College—Pecos Campus on Feb. 20 and 21, 2026. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ ADOT announced changes to weekend traffic in Chandler with a ramp closure on eastbound Loop 202 at Gilbert Road from 10 p.m. today until noon Sunday — northbound Loop 101 between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive will be closed from 10 p.m. today to 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers should follow detour routes and allow extra travel time during these improvements. Chandler Independent
- ➤ Chandler is expanding its Field of Honor Veterans Memorial at Veterans Oasis Park to include a new recognition wall—displaying veterans’ names, ranks and service branches.
