EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Chandler Unified School District said its latest state report card is the best yet as 31 of 44 schools earned an A grade, and officials are appealing B grades at Bogle Junior, Andersen Elementary and Bologna Elementary—appeals will be submitted by November 15 while the overall district score of 3.65 confirms an A rating. - ➤ Chandler officials announced a two-day leadership program for young adults scheduled for Feb. 20 from 4-8 p.m. and Feb. 21 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Chandler-Gilbert Community College - Pecos Campus, where participants aged 17-24 will build skills in civic engagement, ethical leadership and emotional intelligence with meals provided. - ➤ Maricopa County voters are being asked to approve $900 million in borrowing to expand Valleywise health services—this borrowing request will be on the upcoming ballot to fund additional care in the county. 12 News
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Maricopa County filed 7,579 eviction cases in October—the third highest for that month and the second highest monthly total this year. Nearly 71,000 eviction cases have been filed in 2025, and county officials warn that economic pressures may drive more filings in November and December. KTAR
