Gov. Katie Hobbs announced an extra $1.8M in ARPA funds on Monday to help Arizonans facing food insecurity amid SNAP payment delays caused by federal issues—$1.5M will support the Arizona Food Bank Network while $250K and $300K will boost Tribal emergency SNAP response and the Food Bucks Now program. This allocation brings her total ARPA food assistance investment to $3.6M—building on funds announced on October 30th.
Seven states including Arizona must agree on Colorado River water usage by Wednesday—if not, federal intervention will follow.
