- ➤ Rowell Ranch Farm Sanctuary launched a pet food assistance program to provide free pet food and supplies for Meals on Wheels clients who sometimes share their meals with pets — the initiative, in partnership with AZCEND, Follow Your Heart Animal Rescue, Sandi’s Tailwaggers and HEAL Kids & Animals, accepts donations at drop-off sites in Chandler and Mesa and needs volunteers to help deliver items. - ➤ The Black Chamber of Arizona is partnering with Mavericks of Scottsdale, a premier Western wear boutique in Old Town, to host its Members & Mavericks event soon. 12 News
- ➤ Chandler is accepting online nominations for its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Program, which honors local residents for their work in human and civil rights — the three award categories include the Distinguished Achievement Award, the Emma Arbuckle Empowerment Award, and the Youth Action Award — and nominations must be submitted by noon on Dec. 8th with winners notified the week of Dec. 15th and the awards presented at an intimate ceremony on Jan. 16th, 2026.
