Chandler is accepting nominations for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Awards Program — honoring residents who work to advance civil rights and social justice.
Nominations must be submitted by noon on Dec. 8, with winners notified the week of Dec. 15 and the awards presented at a ceremony on Jan. 16.
🚨 Crime
Daniel Sublasky, 19, was shot and killed in northeast Chandler on Oct.
10—his name was added to the Youth Peace & Justice Foundation’s Trees for Peace project with a memorial tree planned in the Arizona National Forest.
