- ➤ Fortune Bro’s Toy Drive 2025 will take place at Rack Attack Tempe on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—more than 100 trucks and off-road vehicles will bring toys for young cancer warriors and their siblings. Organizers aim to collect over 1,000 toys and provide festival activities including vendor booths, food, music and a Kid’s Zone at 1245 W. Elliot Road, Suite 111. Chandler Independent

- ➤ Chandler’s Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities invites local residents to apply for a $1,000 scholarship to help cover education or supply costs, with applications accepted until March 31. The committee also seeks nominations for the 2026 Disability Awareness Awards, with submissions due by Jan. 30 and recipients honored by City Council in February. City of Chandler

- ➤ Kyrene middle school athletes will compete in a series of championships next week—starting with an E-Sports Championship on Dec. 6th at Kyrene Traditional Academy in Chandler and a cheer showcase on Dec. 12th in Phoenix. The district will also host a cross country race on Dec. 13th in Chandler with nearly 300 runners and finals on Dec. 18th for boys basketball in Phoenix as well as boys soccer and girls flag football with about 150 competitors in Tempe.
