The Exchange Club of Chandler will hold its 10th annual Wreaths Across America commemorative service on Dec.
13 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery to honor about 3,200 veterans with real balsam wreaths, and volunteer drivers must help haul them on Dec. 20 (volunteers also gather an hour early).
Bethel Sonrise church in Chandler recently had its leaking roof replaced when HBC Roofing from Mesa donated labor, materials, and expertise (valued at $5,500) as part of its Phoenix Roof Rescue initiative.
The donation supports the church during the holiday season.

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) said it will continue recommending the hepatitis B vaccine at birth for all newborns despite a CDC advisory committee narrowing its guidelines on Friday, Dec.
5. Officials say the routine vaccine, in place since 1991, is crucial to protecting babies from serious health risks.
