- ➤ Dr. A.J. Chandler Park in downtown Chandler will begin major renovations in January. The park, just off Arizona Ave + Buffalo Street, is receiving its first updates in nearly 40 years after a master plan highlighted needed repairs. KTAR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Chandler Unified is in the final phase of selecting its next superintendent from 12 candidates. The public will learn the three finalists on Jan. 28 after interviews and community events later this month (applications were due on Jan. 2). Chandler Arizonan
- ➤ Kyrene School District voted on Dec. 16 to close four elementary and two middle schools over the next two years. Superintendent Toenjes said families and staff will help plan transitions for schools in Ahwatukee and Tempe amid falling enrollment (with plans for expanded middle school programs).
