Your nervous system rarely gets an hour where nothing is required of it.

This afternoon sound bath is designed to give your body space to slow down, settle, and rest.

At the beginning of a sound session, the layers of bowls, gong, chimes, and vibration can sometimes feel like a lot to take in, especially if you've spent your day thinking, doing, planning, responding, or staying "on." Your brain is still tracking the environment, and your nervous system may need a little time to adjust.

But something often begins to shift as the hour unfolds.

The sounds become more familiar. There is less to figure out. Your attention doesn't have to keep searching for what comes next. Little by little, you may notice your breathing soften, your muscles release, and your body become more comfortable with simply resting.

And there is something especially valuable about doing this in the middle of the day .

Rest doesn't have to be something you earn at the end of a long day.

An afternoon sound bath gives you an intentional interruption, a chance to step away from errands, responsibilities, screens, conversations, and constant stimulation before you're completely depleted. Instead of waiting until bedtime to finally slow down, you're practicing what it feels like to create rest while there is still more day ahead of you.

Come exactly as you are. You don't need to meditate, clear your mind, or "do" anything.

For one hour, your only job is to get comfortable, listen, and allow your nervous system the opportunity to settle.
