Hike Distance 4.1 mi Accumulated Elevation Gain: 482 feet Driving Distance: 35 miles R/T 20 minutes one way

Beverly Canyon, National Trail, and Javelina Canyon Loop, starting from the Javelina Canyon Trailhead on the north side of South Mountain. Varied terrain, including rolling hills and small valleys, a few steep sections, nice views from the ridge. Some rocks/loose gravel and sand; trekking poles recommended. Ruin of an old stone house is a nice half-way point for a snack and rest. This is a nice hike, close to home.

Directions: If using GPS, type Javelina Canyon Trailhead into your device From Sun Lakes, west on Riggs Road to I-10 N. 11.2 miles to exit 155 Baseline Road. Turn left onto Baseline. 1 mile to 46th Street. Left at light onto S 46th St. Parking lot on right in .3 mile. No restrooms or water at trailhead. Qwik Trip for restroom at 48th St and Baseline.
