Filmmaker Adam Finberg from Phoenix will debut his new movie Star People, a science-fiction thriller inspired by the 1997 Phoenix Lights, at Harkins Theatres in Scottsdale, Chandler and Peoria on July 25—filmed at several Arizona spots—and hopes the film brings fresh interest in a famed local mystery. The movie follows a woman who saw the strange lights as a child—an event that has long confused locals—and continues to spark ideas about unknown objects.
