Police are searching for a suspect after a local gym member said his credit card was stolen — authorities are reviewing the incident.

Chandler police stopped over 1,200 drivers in the past three months for using their phones while driving and issued roughly 600 citations and 600 warnings—an enforcement effort driven by safety concerns after past incidents.

Chandler will hold a special election on November 4 to let voters decide on a $475 million bond issue that will fund park improvements, street enhancements, and better police and fire services — two charter amendment measures are also on the ballot.

Residents can file written arguments by 5 p.m. on August 6 with a $150 fee and a 300-word limit, submitting them by email, in person, or by mail.
