Milkshake Factory opened its first Arizona location on Aug 2 at 4955 S.

Alma School Rd., Suite 4955-13 in a Hornaek’s Golf shopping center in south Chandler—this dessert cafe serves handspun milkshakes and small-batch chocolates made fresh daily and is owned by local operator Kavita Kumar, who plans five more locations in the area.

Kyrene de la Sierra Elementary School closed its campus Sunday after air tests found high particulate levels during roof construction & officials stressed that safety came first.

The City of Chandler launched LEAD Chandler — a new program developed with Chandler-Gilbert Community College and Chandler Unified School District — to provide professional training for residents ages 17 to 24.
